Overall build time for the PC-7H X was around 20 minutes, the quickest I’ve ever been able to build a Lian Li system in and this is mostly due to the fact that this chassis features a fairly standard and easy to understand layout. I did however spend an extra few minutes tidying the cables up as with the large openings below and to the right of the motherboard it took a few extra cable ties to get excess cable out of the way. This was purely a cosmetic issue and since the chassis features no side panel window and the cables were in no way obstructing air flow, I just wanted it to look better. It paid off too as you can see it’s a very clean-looking build and airflow within the chassis should be superb.
I removed the stock 120mm exhaust fan in favour of our Antec 920 radiator and its two 120mm fans. I chose to inverse mount the radiator to ensure that the water cooling pipes are well out of the way of the fans although this was purely as a cosmetic decision as there is still plenty of room within the top half of the chassis. Had I installed a second GPU there would be a really good amount of clearance between the PSU and lower GPU and I don’t doubt this chassis could easily handle a 3-way SLI rig with ease.
The back of the chassis looks really clean and presentable, there is nothing sticking out that would snag your cables and the extra fan guard on the exhaust fan is a welcome feature both for its functionality and style.
With the side panel back in place it doesn’t look like there is a system inside the chassis at all, you can see our Antec PSU if you look closely but otherwise this is a very stealthy looking build and it’s beautifully understated.
