Final Thoughts
This case in essence is everything that Lian Li stand for by offering the latest features, a sleek design and fantastic build quality. Lian Li always focus on key areas of design, functionality and solid materials and whilst this chassis is extremely lightweight you’d expect it to be flimsy but it’s everything but. It really harnesses the quality engineering that we’ve come to love from Lian Li products.

The inclusion of USB 3.0 makes this a perfect case for its primary usage; HTPC. It allows the user to attach lightning fast expansion drives to the system to give blistering fast speeds when needed the most. Just image watching HD content which skips and lags, whereas the PC-C50 handles it with ease. I honestly can’t see many people using the USB connection for that particular function though, and that’s purely down to the amount of drives that this chassis can house, it really is a Tardis and seems to have a lot more room than first anticipated from the outside, but as they say looks can be deceiving, and this is a prime example of that. The room inside after fitting the usual suspects of a low powered PSU, Micro ATX board, we were still able to position cables and connectors in the best possible arrangement which then leads to the best air flow and heat dissipation.

Stepping back down to earth, it is a lot of money, at £160 GBP (at time of review) in the UK it does seem expensive for the size and use of it, but when you look at a simple comparison with the likes of the Thermaltake DH202, there’s not a lot between them barring a screen if that’s your kind of bag but some may prefer the subtle look of the C50.

We believe it’s a case that would quite happily sit under your television and with a quick glance at its stunning beauty it will definitely bring a smile to your face EVERY time.

Pros:

  • Lightweight
  • Stylish design
  • Suprisingly spacious
  • USB 3.0 on the front

Cons:

  • No room to hide cables
  • Expensive
