Building a gaming PC, or any kind of PC for that matter can be a lot of fun. While I love building big full-ATX type systems, there’s a lot of incredible and very capable mini-ITX chassis out there too. The latest from Lian-Li looks set to be one of their best form factor chassis to date, so it should be a fun build.
With compact and powerful GPUs on the market, as well as the fantastic Ryzen with Vega APUs, small form factor gaming systems are a reality for almost any budget now. At £115 the PC-Q38 isn’t cheap, but with aluminium construction, we’re confident you’ll get the quality one would expect from Lian Li.
There are plenty of neat features on offer here. There’s a large window section, allowing you to show off your build. However, well-placed dust filters, tool-free panels, and liquid cooling support, and more make it practical too.
With room for a mini-ITX motherboard, three hard drives, a dual slot PCIe device, and plenty of cooling, it’s certainly a capable chassis. Overall, it’s very capable given its form factor, at least on paper.
