Completed SystemAfter some time spent on installing our system together and tidying up the cables, the result was a satisfying one as it really didn’t take as long as we first anticipated due to the amount of space for routing cables through and around the chassis.
One the optical drive was in place, the locking mechanism kept it fixed into position.
The storage drives are locked into position with the included plastic rails and specialist screws which allow the drive to be locked into place and the cables can be connected via the PCB.
A view of the front shows the drive situated in the bottom slot with an area for smaller 2.5″ drives to go beneath it. The thumbscrews and key lock all work together to secure your drives for being stolen or taken out.
The power supply installation is an interesting fad that involves the use of the included power supply bracket which hooks around the power supply and is levered into place. A fantastic idea, though Lian Li do recommend that you fix the unit in with the supplied screws if you are planning to move your system about.
From the other side, we can see the room that we had to work with in regards to cable management and that overall things ended up quite neat and tidy, especially thanks to the cable management clamp that has been incorporated
Though the cable clamp is perfect for tidying cables, you will find that the thicker power supply cables won’t fit it without the clips coming undone on their own.
