Lian Li Reveals PC-TU100 Mini-ITX Chassis

Portable mini-ITX cases are becoming very fashionable these days and Lian Li are giving one of their old cases a revamp to keep up with the craze. Their “briefcase” PC-TU100 chassis is a revised version of the PC-TU200 chassis. Lian Li have designed this to be the ultimate stylish LAN gaming rig with a top mounted handle for easy transportation.
The PC-TU100 has dimensions of (WxHxD) 158 x 275 x 242 mm (6.2″ x 10.8″ x 9.5″) and a weight of 1.77 kg (3.9 lb), making it very small and light. You can mount two 2.5″ hard drives or SSDs, a 2.5″ device or optical drive in the slim optical drive bay, graphics cards up to 190mm in length that use a dual slot design and SFX power supplies up to 170mm.
Lian Li provide a 120mm intake fan with a removable air/dust filter. The case side panel is removed with a simple lever release and the front panel includes the usual LEDs, power/reset, USB 3.0 and Audio connectors. Lian Li are saying these PC-TU100 cases will be available by the end of June for a $109.99 MSRP.
To me the PC-TU100 looks like a cross between a briefcase and a small guitar amplifier, the design doesn’t appeal to me that much although the size and functionality does. What are your thoughts on this new case from Lian Li?
