Lian Li SP750 750W SFX Power Supply Review

Over Power Protection and Max Wattage

Although it is never unusual for power supplies to provide a wattage output beyond the rated amount, it is important to know that if things are pushed too hard, protections are in place to protect not only your power supply but all of the components attached to it. Fortunately, in that regard, the Lian Li SP750 is exceptionally impressive. Managing to achieve 1002.3 watts, this is clearly significantly higher than the officially rated amount (it doesn’t require any heavy maths to see this is over 25% above that value). What about the OPP though? Well, again, nothing to worry about here as it successfully engaged to prevent any damage to the PSU.
