Lian Li has unveiled yet another impressive PC case, but this time around the company has decided to focus on mini-server or NAS builds. Available in black and dark gray finishes, the case in question is named PC-M25, and it features a microATX form factor. This means that it can accommodate either microATX or Mini-ITX motherboards, but most importantly it comes with a five-bay, 3.5″ hot-swap drive rack. The best part about this drive rack is that it doesn’t require any tools as its assembly mechanism holds the drives firmly in place using rubber mounts that diminish vibration and noise. Just in case five drives aren’t enough for you, you can always install two more 3.5″ devices or three 2.5″ ones on a secondary drive cage.
As far as cooling is concerned, you should be fine as long as the CPU cooler doesn’t exceed 3.15″ (80 mm) in height, but we should also mention the 140-mm front fan and 120-mm roof fan. The graphics card can be as long as 16.1″ (41 cm) while the PSU shouldn’t measure more than 9.1″ (23 cm) in length. The enclosure boasts a total volume of 28.3 liters, as it measures 7.8″ by 12.7″ by 17.4″. The PC-M25 tips the scales at just 8.2 lbs (3.7 kg) thanks to its aluminum construction. Regarding pricing, sources indicate that European customers will be able to purchase this product for €160, which might be considered a bit steep by certain Lian Li clients.
