Linksys
Tired of lacklustre gaming performance on both PC or consoles like the Xbox One? Enter the new Linksys WRT gaming routers, with the 32X for general gaming PC users, and the 32XB for Xbox One gamers. I asked, is this just a router with a few ports automatically forwarded to make things easier for consumers. However, Linksys say that it goes much deeper than this, offering packet level scanning to ensure low latency. If someone is streaming Netflix, another browsing Facebook, etc, it’ll ensure the gaming system gets top priority. Most routers share bandwidth equally, but that’s not the case here.
They also look pretty great, as it usually the case with Linksys. Add to that four powerful antennae for robust Wi-Fi range, with all the usual perks you would expect from a modern high-end router.
Say no to dead spots
For those who need reliable WiFi for their entire property, the new VELOP promises whole home WiFi. These are basically a cluster of high-performance routers that you locate around your home. However, they link together to provide a seamless connection that won’t leave you with downtime. The more you use it, the smarter it gets, learning your WiFi usage to provide a better signal to each device for even more up time.
Unfortunately, we didn’t catch prices, but we’ll update you as soon as we know more. Which one would you buy for your home?
