MU-MIMO stands for Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple Output and is a technology that is especially useful when using multiple mobile devices on the same network at once. It helps to ensure uninterrupted Wi-Fi connectivity to all the devices as if they had their own dedicated connection point.
The Linksys EA8500 router uses Qualcomm MU | EFX MU-MIMO technology that can help to provide up to three times faster speeds compared to current Wi-Fi. The 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands together can manage combined transfer speeds up to 2.53Gbps, quite impressive.
The router is built around a 1.4GHz dual-core CPU and comes with four Gigabit Ethernet ports as well as a Gigabit WAN port for those super-fast internet connections.
