We’re big fans of smart home equipment here at eTeknix, and while Linksys aren’t reinventing the wheel, they still had some neat products. First up, we’ve got their new Insight Smart Plug, which allows you to monitor your power usage, control devices remoately and more. The same with the mini plug, albeit without the same level of monitoring.
Their latest smart dimmer looks neat and tidy. It comes with an easy to integrate design, and a simple touch interface to control your lighting levels.
The bit news, however, is their integration of Apple Home Kit. Apple are way behind with their hardware support for smart homes, so I’m sure Apple fans will love this. It’s available now, and it’s just a tiny hub that you add to your network to effectively patch your Wemo hardware with Homekit.
