Logitec has unveiled the LDE-WHDI202TR wireless HDMI kit that lets you transmit a full-HD video stream over small distances.
The kit consists of an transmission dongle that plugs into media players, PCs, and tablets that have a USB port and a conventional HDMI port; and a receiver that gives the output to an HDMI display or projector. The receiver draws power from an AC adapter.
The digital HD video stream is transmitted over 4.90~5.90 GHz band, over short distances, up to 7 meters. The transmission supports resolutions as high as 1920×1080 @ 60 FPS. Apart from video, the wireless stream also transports 7.1 channel audio with quality as high as 24-bit/192 kHz, with support for DTS, AC3, and PCM formats. The transmitter measures 30 x 83.2 x 17.1 mm, while the receiver measures 95 x 95 x 31.2 mm. The LDE-WHDI202TR wireless HDMI kit from Logitec is priced at $309.
