Logitech Atlas Spectrum G410 TKL Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Logitech G410 is available directly from Logitech for £119.99, with a range of international key layouts to suit your personal preferences.

Overview

The Logitech G410 is a real oddball of a keyboard, at first I didn’t like the looks and feel of this keyboard, but that was prior to researching it and realising what Logitech are trying to achieve with it. In terms of build quality, it’s rock solid, no problems there, but it does feel quite cheap at first. This is due to the use of lightweight plastics that have a bit of an uninspiring feel to them for the frame of the keyboard. However, this means the keyboard is extremely light and portable, something that will pay off when you’re lugging it around to LAN gaming events on a regular basis.

The design is completely at odds with everything on the market, it looks… different, and while I wasn’t particularly keep on the theme, it has certainly grown on me after some usage. I didn’t like the fact it was different from most keyboards, but in the end, that’s what I now love about it, as so many keyboard just look the same these days.

A strange-looking design, a plastic look and feel? It does make me think this keyboard is a little over priced. However, when you look at most other mechanical RGB gaming keyboards, by which I mean true 16.8 million colour ones, not the ones that have a dozen or so colours, you’re not going to find anything cheaper, without making some kind of compromise on features.

The Romer-G switches really caught me off guard too, as Cherry and Kailh are popular choices for good reason, they’re proven and their effective, but the Romer-G are a welcome departure and a nice alternative to choose from. The shorter travel distance, fast key return rate, low-noise and the tactile sensation will immediately put a smile on your face and have noticeable and tangible benefits while working and gaming.

The addition of per-key lighting, profiles, macros, ARX control (with phone mount), the game mode (key locker) and more just push the G410 into the limelight that little bit more.

Pros

  • Ultra-lightweight design
  • TKL design is great for gaming
  • Per-key RGB lighting
  • Key-lock feature
  • Easy to use software
  • Romer-G keys are great for work and gaming
  • Detachable phone mount

Cons

  • Some of the plastics feel a little cheaper than I had hoped

Neutral

  • Price feels a little high but is on par with similar specification keyboards

“The Logitech G410 is certainly a unique keyboard in a market of often similar designs. It comes packed full of features that make it an ideal weapon of choice for competitive gamers, a super lightweight design and the very impressive Romer-G mechanical switches.”
