Logitech G27 Racing Wheel PC/PS3 Review

Taking a look at the front of the wheel we can see that it features a full 360 degree leather cover, which not only looks fantastic but also gives great grip and feel to the wheel, on the front of the wheel we have 6 programmable face buttons, behind that we have the two paddle shifters. and just at the top centre of the wheel you can just see the rev counter LED light indicators.

Side on we can see one of the most interesting features of the G27, it’s size, even though it features a superb large size wheel, the housing for the motor is quite compact, meaning it doesn’t take up a huge amount of desk or storage space. Further down from there we can see the standard screw mechanism that allows you to fix it to a desk, table or racing wheel frame.

Nothing major going on around the back, this is thanks to all the input and output sockets being tucked away underneath the wheel base, meaning there is less chance of you snagging a wire during gameplay.

One of the best features about the G27 is this little box of tricks, not only is it a full 6 speed gear changer, but it also features addition control buttons and  its own clamp system, which means you’re able to place this at the side and distance of your liking.

It features a further 8 programmable buttons and a d-pad, this is great as it helps keep the wheel its self clutter free.

The pedals are really well made and as you can see feature a full 3 pedal setup of clutch, brake and accelerator, not a lot of wheel setups come featuring a clutch, but with the full gear box attachment on this setup, any driver will tell you how vital this is to the racing experience.

The bass of the pedals come fitted with a pop out carpet grip, which does a reasonably good job, but the pedals are reasonably heavy anyway so I didn’t find them to slide around much, there are also plenty of screw holes for fitting the pedals to any racing frame you may have too.
