Gaming peripheral titan Logitech introduced two new gaming headsets to their line-up: The G433 7.1 and G233 Prodigy. Both these headsets use the Logitech’s 40mm PRO-G Advanced Audio drivers and are fine tuned differently for each. The G433 7.1 and G233 Prodigy are also compatible with consoles be it the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One or mobile devices.
The Logitech G233 comes in a black with blue accent color theme. The earpads can withstand long comfortable use, utilizing breathable sports-mesh. The boom mic is also detachable so it can be a standalone headphone if needed. This microphone has a cardioid unidirectional pickup pattern and uses a back electret condenser. It is 4mm with a boom mic filter, and has a frequency response range of 100Hz to 10kHz.
The cable comes with inline controls so users can adjust the volume or pause/play without controlling the audio source. A PC splitter for separate microphone and headphone jacks is also available in the accessory kit. The Logitech G233 comes with a 2-year warranty and retails for $79.99.
The Logitech G433 7.1 features DTS HEADPHONE:X, a 7.1 surround sound positional audio feature which gamers will find very useful. The headset is ideal for excellent multimedia audio, complimenting the 40mm PRO-G advanced audio driver. It also features a sports-mesh ear pad for comfortable wear and lightweight portability. The microphone shares the same specifications and can be detached. It can be used a standalone headphone like the G233 Prodigy.
The new Logitech G433 7.1 is available in four different color options, including black, red, blue or blue camo. Aside from the in-line remote, it comes with a USB digital soundcard (for the 7.1 surround feature) but has a 3.5mm jack that has a detachable cable. It retails for $99.99 USD and also comes with a two-year warranty.
