Logitech G510 Gaming Keyboard Review

PerformanceThe comfort of the keyboard is simply put; fantastic as it just feels perfectly balanced as i type on it, and the keys are a lot softer than that of the G15 or any other keyboard I’ve ever used to be honest. Some may consider the overall size of the G510 quite large as it is, especially when compared to the G15, but that’s mainly down to the macro keys as there are not 18 of them, opposed to the six that the G15 has.
I’m currently using the G510 without the wrist support and it feels nice, yet possibly a bit bare without it, so over time I will undoubtedly chop and change between having it and removing it.
As I type this part of the review, I’m getting a slight glimmer of the light blue backlighting and it’s a lot more pleasant on the eyes and much better received than the horrid orange colour that the G15 has. If i want, i can always change to something else, depending on where the day and my mood takes me.
I’ve even started to have different colours depending on my task, including red if I need to go and kill some people in Bad Company 2 just to get my fire going.
Having a play about with the colours, I could see that it had a vast spectrum of colours to choose from with slightly darker and lighter shades too.
I can only express to you how fantastic this looks at night with all of the lights off, leaving it to be perfect for an avid gamer.
Not only do the keys light up in your chosen colour, but also the G510 branding above the arrow keys.
I can’t comment on the GamePanel LCD too much as I’m very much used to it from my G15, but I can honestly tell you that once you have used one of the Logitech keyboards with this feature, you won’t want to use anything else.
Couple that with the fact of it changing colour with the rest of the keys, and you have a winner in our books.
