Logitech G910 Orion Spark Keyboard Review

A Closer Look Continued

The RGB lighting engine is pretty special, with really bold and vivid colours. A lot of RGB keyboards allow underlighting on the keys, but you’ll notice that only the fonts are illuminated here, which helps better separate each colour and that’s perfect for defining lighting effects.

Rainbow colours are cool, but you can easily set any colour to any key. Want WASD in red, 1-5 in blue, arrow keys in green? Not a problem, it’s really up to you how you want to configure each profile.

The colours are really nice, with a few extra touches in the G logo in the top left, and even the G910 logo in the palm rest is customisable.

Gaming and working on this keyboard is absolutely fantastic. The Romer-G switches are fast and light, providing huge benefits to those who type a lot, but even more so for gaming. They’re like a blend of MX Red and MX Brown, giving you that fast and light speed, with a soft tactile bump. The most notable thing, however, is that they’re incredibly quiet.

Playing fast paced games is certainly a strong point for the G910, the shorter actuation of the keys is certainly noticeable and gives the keyboard an action that sits somewhere between a standard membrane and a mechanical switch.

The macro keys are a welcome bonus, and being able to configure any key to do whatever you want is even better. The top row of macro keys are great for program launchers, profile and lighting changes and other similar tasks, whereas the ones on the left are easier to reach while gaming; very handy for MMO and sim games.
