A Closer Look

The keyboard comes hard-wired with a lightweight USB cable. If anything, I would have liked to see a removable cable, but it’s hardly a deal breaker.

The first thing we noticed about the new model, that wrist rest has been completely redesigned. No longer a left-hand only design, and much more uniform across the length of the keyboard. It’s a little slimmer too, which could be a good or bad thing per user.

We’ve still got a full bank of macro keys at the left and top edges, great for both work and gaming.

An ARX mobile dock at the back.

Simply pull it out and you’ve got a smartphone holder to use, ideal for the ARX mobile app.

This is all the same too, with the dedicated multi-media controls, master lighting control, and volume scroll wheel; I’m glad they didn’t change this, I like it how it is.

A full-size number pad and nicely space arrow keys, looks a little more left-handed gamer friendly.

One of the biggest changes here is that Logitech has ditched their unique key cap design. Gone are the angular caps with their deep recesses in favour of something more traditional. I liked the old key caps, so I’m sorry to see them go, but I’ve heard many people complain about them too, so on the whole, perhaps dropping them is a good thing.

Around the back, huge rubber grips help keep the keyboard firmly locked to your desk. This is a welcome bonus, as this keyboard is much lighter than most mechanical keyboards and would otherwise slide around a little too easily.

There are also two super wide and rubber gripped kickstands towards the back.
