Logitech has today unveiled the new Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, another webcam capturing video and pictures at high resolution.
“People are increasingly relying on video calling to maintain far flung connections,” said Todd Walker, brand manager at Logitech. “Whether chatting with friends, family or co-workers, they want to be seen at their best through a sharp, high-quality image. The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 can provide just that as the first webcam to offer 1080p video calling, thanks to our collaboration with Skype.”
To enjoy slightly more than a video call, the C920 allows video capture in both full-HD 1080p and HD 720p for video calling with Skype or Windows Live Messenger. Thanks to the H.264 advanced compression technology, uploading your video clips or 15MP photos to social websites is just as easy as a simple click.
Logitech didn’t stop there, its Fluid Crystal Technology gives the video a complete makeover, making it smoother, eliminating the choppiness and giving a sharper image with richer colours. With the addition of the Carl Zeiss optics and a premium 20-step autofocus, Logitech provides one of the smoothest and most responsive autofocus yet. Further more, with two microphones positioned on either side of the webcam, your contacts will hear you as well as they see you with a clear and natural stereo sound.
The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 is set to become available in the U.S. and in Europe some time this month for the retail price of $99.99/£89.99/€99.99.
