Based on the Logitech G502 Proteus Core, which is already one of the world’s most impressive mice, the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum represents the company’s latest attempt to offer a great-looking and feature-rich gaming peripheral. What makes the G502 Proteus Spectrum stand out when compared to the Proteus Core is an RGB Customizable Lighting system that can be modified by the user using the company’s Gaming Software. Apart from this new lighting system, the mouse comes with a powerful PMW3366 optical sensor that offers a DPI range between 200 and 12,000 with no sensor acceleration or pixel rounding.
Other highlights include 11 programmable buttons and a surface tuning system that adapts the sensor’s dynamic range according to the properties of various surfaces in order to ensure top-notch performance. The textured rubber grips also come in handy, as does the dual-mode hyper-fast scroll wheel that allows the user to scroll Web pages with incredible speed. As far as pricing and availability are concerned, the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum gaming mouse will hit U.S. and European retailers this month, and it will come with a suggested price of $79.99 and €89.
Would you consider purchasing this new Logitech offering? I definitely wouldn’t mind playing some MMO or MOBA games with it.
