The GeForce GTX 980 Ti is undoubtedly one of the most powerful graphics cards available on the market presently, which is why it’s currently receiving plenty of attention from manufacturers and enthusiasts alike. This special GeForce GTX 980 Ti by EVGA is dubbed Classified Kingpin Edition, and it was sketched out and modified by the renowned overclocker Vince “K|NGP|N” Lucido, who is known for achieved numerous 3DMark World Records using EVGA hardware. The card boasts a relatively large PCB and gets its juice through a 6-pin and a pair of 8-pin PCIe power connectors.
The GPU uses a 15-phase VRB that’s good for 600A of current. As far as cooling is concerned, the Classified Kingpin Edition flaunts a large all-copper base as well as 8 mm-thick copper heat pipes that channel heat onto a copper fin array. The array is ventilated with the help of two 100mm fans that become active when the card reaches a certain temperature threshold. No news yet on the exact clock speeds, but I am hopeful that this will be the fastest GTX 980 Ti ever.
What do you think about this particular EVGA card and its overall design? Personally, I’m a big fan of that copper cooler.
