How Much Do You Think it Would Cost to Loot Box Every Skin in League of Legends?

The true cost of looking good!

Many people these days seem to think that looking good in a game is important. In some corners, it’s actually more important than being good at the game. From micro transactions in CS:GO to Loot crates in Overwatch. The amount of money being spent of these skins are sometimes obscene!

The popular early access title, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, despite not officially having micro transactions, is still seeing obscene prices for skins. Particularly mini-skirts following a recent report.

So, based on the micro transaction system in League of Legends, how much do you think it would cost you to statistically unlock every skin?

The amount is truly staggering!

So, how much would you need to spend on League of Legends Loot boxes?

It’s like attempting to collect every footballer for your Pagani sticker album. Trying to get that really cool looking item can be a hard slog. Everyone likes having a unique looking character. Particularly in a setting such as League of Legends where a limited character roster makes diversity difficult.

So, statistically speaking, how much would you need to spend on Loot Boxes to get every skin? Well, brace yourselves, because it isn’t cheap.

$17,000 is the minimum amount required, statistically speaking to obtain every item.

Using their own Hextech mathematical system, Riot Games concluded the $17,000 figure would be necessary to obtain all skins when, in some instances, drop percentages are as low as 0.05% reports PCGamesN.

“But dad, I needed that $17,000 to get Temo’s costume”

The whole matter of micro transactions is becoming somewhat of a murky water. There are still question marks over the legality of ‘betting’ with skins and there have been instances in the past where a professional CS:GO team, deliberately threw a match, just to obtain some rare skins.

I am not against micro transactions. I get why people want to look different. However, when they are set up to require users to spend 5 digit figures to get them all, the maths is just ridiculous.
