Lords of the Fallen recently marked its first anniversary and is in far better shape than its 2023 launch, thanks to numerous free updates from developer HexWorks. The studio is now hard at work on the sequel, possibly titled Death of the Fallen. According to CI Games CEO Marek Lech Tymiński, the public reveal is set for early 2025.
Tymiński shared on his X/Twitter profile that the sequel is in full production with over 200 developers, including both HexWorks employees and external teams. When asked why a trailer wasn’t shown at TGA 2024, he clarified that the marketing campaign will officially begin next year.
The Lords of the Fallen franchise has come a long way. The original title, developed by Deck13 Interactive and published by CI Games, launched in 2014 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Nearly a decade later, HexWorks delivered a soft reboot in October 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The latest release sold over a million copies at launch, convincing CI Games to greenlight the sequel.
