Luxa2 H1 Premium Mobile Holder Review

Final Thoughts

Pricing

The Luxa2 H1 Premium mobile phone holder currently retails for £19.99 from Amazon in the UK while in the USA it retails for $39.99 from the Thermaltake USA online store.

Overview

We’d normally aim to have a slightly longer review than this, but for a device such as this, there isn’t much to say, and instead, we hope that the pictures did it justice and it really is a stunning device. To sum things up is another tricky one, as what can you say about a product that does what it’s set out to do, which in simple form is; hold your mobile phone.

Luxa2 have certainly listened to their customers and created a product that doesn’t single out one mobile phone manufacturer, and instead focusses on the whole market (within a certain screen size) and for those with bigger devices, we invite you to check out Luxa2’s product catalogue as they have very similar stands suitable to tablets and not just for the desktop but for the travel market too with car mounts and for the adventurers upon us; bike mounts like the H10.

One thing that I would like to highlight on the H1 Premium is that the build quality is exactly what we’ve grown to love from Luxa2 with a study, stable product that also offers the aesthetics that will accompany a nice office or bedroom due to its simple yet stylish design that is very current and while it is aimed at various mobile phones, we can’t help but think that the iPhone looks the best sitting snug in the H1 premium mobile phone holder.

The added gap below the phone allows a modest amount of cable management with enough room to allow the cable to pass through and not worrying about a trailing cable that will disappear down the back of the desk once you disconnect, though as chargers are now becoming smaller, this could be an issue. The rubber backing on the main bulk of the holder is nice as it allows the device to sit with a slight cushioning, therefore not seeing your expensive mobile device being scratched or damaged in any way.

Did we also mention that it’s available in silver, black or even red?

Pros

  • Stylish and sophisticated looking product
  • Small footprint on your desk surface
  • Able to accommodate multiple sized devices
  • Fantastic build quality that we’ve come to expect from this brand

Cons

  • Slightly more expensive than others, but you do get what you pay for
  • Availability is still an issue

“If wanting the very best, then paying the extra premium for a premium based product is something you won’t mind doing and it doesn’t get much more high-end than the Luxa2 H1 Premium mobile phone holder. Offering outstanding style and  fantastic build quality, the H1 Premium would definitely be at the top of our list, and while the cost will leave some with a sour taste in their mouth, you have to remember the age old rule – Buy cheap, buy twice!”
