Price
The main downfall of the Luxa2 Lavi S at the moment is the lack of availability in a lot of regions. However, those living in the US can pick them up from Amazon for a very respectable $59.99 for the model I tested today. There’s also an over the ear and on the ear edition available, without the external loudspeakers, which are priced at $46.70 and $29.99 respectively.
Overview
The Luxa2 Lavi S headphones are certainly unique, I’ve never seen a headset that was also a set of speakers and while I can’t imagine myself needing a device like this, I still think they’re pretty cool. If you’re out and about a lot, hanging out with friends, going on road trips or whatever else, these could be a valuable space saver and incredibly practical. You’ve got headphones that are compatible with MP3 players thanks to the 3.5mm cable, you’ve got wireless for pairing up with your phone, great for listening to music and answering calls hands-free, then you’ve got the speakers for those times you and your friends want to enjoy some music, without the need for carrying multiple audio devices.
Build quality is really nice and the mixture of high-quality plastics, rubber coatings, and a strong folding mechanism, the headset should survive more than a few knocks and bumps without too much concern. Then there’s the added bonus that they look pretty cool too, although admittedly the drivers do stick out a little more than most headsets, but not to the extent that it would cause any issues.
Despite the extra drivers. the wireless technology and the built-in battery, the Luxa2 Lavi are also surprisingly light. I mean, they’re still heavier than most headsets, but they’re certainly not cumbersome either and feel very comfortable and secure when you’re wearing them.
A competitive price, good build quality, an impressive range of features and practical applications and decent all-round performance; there’s really little else you could ask for from a headset. With three different editions being available, there’s also plenty of choice to find the right model to best suit your needs.
Pros
Cons
“The Luxa2 Lavi S may not be the greatest headphones or speakers in the world, but for a very fair price, you get a lot of features, a lot of functionality and good all-round performance, making them a good purchase for anyone that needs a multi-purpose and portable audio setup.”
