Groovy A Bluetooth Speaker
Listening to music on your mobile device is often a lackluster experience. There may have been many advances in the world of mobile speakers, but more often than not, it’s still not that great for sharing music with your friends, rocking out in the office, or entertaining a garden full of guests at a BBQ. The quickest and easiest solution to these problems is a Bluetooth speaker, such as the Groovy A from Luxa 2.
The Groovy A is compact, but still packs a powerful speaker, a built-in battery that can provide up to 15 hours of play time, and a range of connectivity options to ensure you never have to worry about getting your device hooked up.
- Immersive Sound Unleashed
- Bluetooth CSR v4.0
- 7W total audio output
- Brushed aluminum construction
- 15° 30° playing angles
- Up to 15 hours playtime
- 5 hours to fully charge (0-100%)
- Easy access controls
- Speakerphone with mic
- Dual wired and wireless connectivity
- Wireless range 33ft (10m)
- 1-year warranty
The Groove A comes bundled with a leather protective bag, which is great for keeping it free from scratches when it’s put into your backpack, luggage or boot of your car for transport.
While it does support Bluetooth CSR v4.0 for quick and easy connections between a wide range of devices, you’ll also find a legacy 3.5mm cable that will allow you to connect virtually any audio device with a 3.5mm output, as well as a USB cable for charging. The powerful battery can be charged in 5-hours, not too quick, but it does last a long time once charged, so best to leave it on overnight before going out with it for the day.
The aluminium housing looks stunning and comes with a durable mesh front that gives it a sleek and stylish look.
Around the back, you’ll find a Micro-USB port for charging, the 3.5mm input and a master power switch. The whole thing looks and feels pretty durable, so it should hold up really well for sunny days at the park or even just looking great on your desktop in the office.
All the controls on the top are nice and clear, giving you control over your multimedia, volume, and calls. There’s also a pinhole microphone, and it works very well for making hands-free calls; perfect for when you’re busy in the office and don’t to pick up your handset.
The sound is certainly powerful, packing a lot more bass and clarity than I was expecting. What’s really cool is that you can adjust the EQ from the mobile app, although I found the stock sound to be quite well balanced and didn’t feel the need, it’s still nice to have the option. Even outside in the garden, there’s enough presence to the sound to hear it clearly, and it’s easily one of the best Bluetooth speakers we’ve tested to date.
