Luxa2 Mobile and Desktop Accessories Round-Up Review

E-One Headphone Stand

Time and time again we’ve seen friends and family paying a lot of money for a great headset or headphones, only to leave them dumped on a shelve, in a drawer, or chucked on top of their PC case. To me, that’s like buying a new TV and then hanging your wet clothes over it to dry. A great headset deserves a great home and the E-One from Luxa2 looks set to be the perfect solution.

“The E-ONE headphone holder provides that all important place to hang your beloved headphones. Made from high quality aluminum and topped off with a diamond cut finish, the E-ONE holder keeps your headphones on standby, on display and your audio needs within an arms grasp.” – Luxa2

Of course, there’s not much in the way of testing when it comes to a headset stand, but let’s take a look at what we’ve got here. The E-One comes as a single piece unit, which means that there is no assembly required; just take it out of the box and you’re good to go.

The main stand is made from thick cast aluminium, which makes it incredibly strong but also means it looks absolutely stunning. There’s a thick rubber coating on the top, which prevents the metal from scratching up the headband on your headset.

The base is really thick, giving it considerable weight and stability. There’s also a thick rubber grip on the base, so it won’t slide around your desktop or surface of choice.

In terms of performance, well it’s a headset stand, we stood a headset on it, therefore, it is what it is. OK, maybe I’m being too simplified here. The stand has a good weight to it, so even our rather large Astro A40 fits with ease giving plenty of room from the base. The thick base does help keep it nice and stable too so giving it a few bumps shouldn’t cause it to topple over anytime soon.

It’s a great way to display your headset and if you keep it on your desktop, it’s also perfect for keeping your headset within ease reach.

Personally, I also find the base of the stand perfect for the pre-amp for my headset, although you could easily store a bundled cable or dongle here too, ensuring everything you need is within easy reach.
