LUXA2 P-MEGA 41600mAh Power Station Review

Performance
I’ve been using the P-MEGA for a little while now as I wanted to see how the unit dealt with being used constantly, and to see if the power delivery degrades over time at all. I also wanted the opportunity to test it in a variety of different locations, to see how viable transportation was for a unit of this size. After owning many Apple devices and being an extreme user in the sense of constantly being on Facebook, phone calls and the like, charging is very important as I find myself frequently needing to top my charge up throughout the day. The P-MEGA is perfect for delivering a lightning fast charge to both my phone and tablet devices, while still having the functionality of charging my daughters iPad at the same time and with the extremely short cables that Apple provide; having the “move-ability” that this unit has to offer, it makes charging your devices a lot friendlier.
Comparing the charge time to a mains outlet saw no sizable differences meaning that the P-MEGA is perfect if you need a quick charge with great results whether at home, the office or even on the go, though while it can be transported around, it’s not the most friendly due to its size. While I mentioned that it’s not large, it can’t fit into your pocket as other small capacity devices can.
I had a chance to test a variety of devices including an iPhone 5, Nexus 5 and iPad 2, 4th gen and iPad Air. All devices were recognised no problem and immediately started charging and after returning several minutes later, you can see how fast the P-MEGA charged all types of smartphones and tablets.
One thing that I do love is the blue glow from the USB port giving you an indication that your device is charging. It’s a simple yet effective touch that adds to the quality that LUXA2 offer, and as you can see from the picture above, a blue glow around the top and the logo also adds to that premium feel.
