Mach Xtreme MX-GX USB 3.0 16GB Flash Drive Review

A Closer Lookthe first thing you will notice when comparing to other flash drives on the market is how slim the MX-GX is, but it is a little bit longer than most. It has a dark blue/black surface and feels very solid and robust. It has the model name; MX-GX printed in off-white on one side.
The other side of the drive has the same style font and colouring but informs us that it’s made by Mach Xtreme and is a USB 3.0 based drive.
The flash drive also has a protective cap for when it’s not in use but sadly this cap can’t be fitted to the opposite end of the drive when in use, leaving it a prime example for getting lost when using the flash stick.
The end of the flash drive has two small holes for connecting a cord or some form of lanyard to keep the drive around your neck and to make sure that it doesn’t get lost due to its size.
As the flash drive is based around the USB 3.0 interface, the connector is blue to match up with your I/O ports on the back of your motherboard as all boards should now feature blue USB 3.0 ports.
Once the drive has been plugged in, there is a very faint, subtle green LED that lights up, though we feel a blue LED would have been better suited.
