Mad Catz have just come out with a brand new keyboard design, the S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 “professional” gaming keyboard. This gaming keyboard is designed as an entry into the world of competitive gaming whether you play FPS, RPG, MMO, RTS or MOBA games. The keyboard has precise key responses and customisable backlighting. Furthermore Mad Catz provide programmable macro keys to give you that competitive edge.
Mad Catz are making the STRIKE 3 keyboard available in three colours, gloss black, gloss white and gloss red. The STRIKE 3 keyboards do use membrane key designs but they claim to offer the fully tacticle feedback of mechanical keys without the “excessive noise” or need to “bottom out” the keys like you will find on some mechanical keyboards.
The keys all have full RGB backlighting that are capabel of displaying up to sixteen million customisable colours. Mad Catz have provided full media controls and a removable wrist rest. There are twelve macro keys and three separate macro operation modes meaning you can have 12 macros in each mode (i.e. a mode for each game) which gives you up to 36 virtual macro keys.
Mad Catz did not announce pricing or availability with the press release but it will come soon. Look for our review on this as no doubt Peter has one coming very soon.
