Mad Catz Now Shipping TRITTON Kama Stereo Headset for PS 4 & Vita

Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. have announced today that their latest gaming headset, the TRITTON Kama is now available as the company begins shipping orders. The new headset is designed to be an affordable solution for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, which is perfect given the harmony between both these Sony gaming systems.

  • Cable Length: 3.3ft/1m
  • Speaker Diameter: 40mm
  • Ear Coupling: Supra-aural (On-ear)
  • Magnet Type: Neodymium
  • Frequency Response: 20Hz–20kHz
  • Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): <1%
  • Resistance: 16 ohms
  • Audio Input Type: 3.5mm Connector

Specially built for the PlayStation 4’s multiplayer online environments, the Kama delivers a comfortable audio experience while simplifying online chat. Directly connecting to the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Wireless Controller – and nearly any device with a 3.5mm jack – you’ll be free to play in full stereo with the quality we’ve come to expect from the TRITTON gaming range. The Kama also features a flexible performance microphone and uncomplicated in-line audio controls which further enhance the online and offline gaming experience.

“The PlayStation 4 has proven a massive success at retail, and we’re pleased to ship the Kama headset specifically designed for this next generation of gaming,” said Darren Richardson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. “The Kama offers high-fidelity sound and impressive build quality at a price we believe to be unmatched within the category.”

The headset looks a little similar to their rather impressive Kunai gaming headset that was released last year, which is no bad thing. While clearly based on the old headset, MadCatz have tweaked and improved the design and performance of the headset and it looks like it will be a great upgrade from the standard headsets that come bundled with the two PlayStation devices. The headset is very affordable too with a price tag of just £24.99 here in the UK and $29.99 in US from the MadCatz store.

Thank you MadCatz for providing us with this information.
