While Mad Catz have presented us with more than a couple of mice featuring the same adjustable grip, the R.A.T. Cyborg series is finally introducing a mouse for a new kind of gaming type with the M.M.O.7.
Rather self explanatory, the M.M.O.7 is essentially the same as its previous releases, although being aimed for a new type of gaming style compared to the previous models, it includes a whole new set of features to adhere more to the targeted style.
First change we notice is the color, embodied in a matte black with chromed orange and additionally featuring adjustable backlight with 16 million different RGB colours, it certainly stands out of the product line to allow its style to rub itself in the face of other gaming mouse owners. Being in the R.A.T. series, we still find the same adjustable features for the best possible grip, coming with three different palm and pinkie grips as well as a set of weights.
Another feature required in MMOs are the programmable buttons, and with this mouse offering no less than 13 buttons along with additional three position switch and a two position shift button, a total of 78 user definable commands are at hand’s reach…literally. Moreover, in addition to the scroll wheel we’re all used two, the M.M.O.7 also features a second scroll wheel for the thumb as well as a new “5D” button; basically a mini joystick controlled by the thumb once more and that is movable in all four directions as well as being pressed inwards. Another additional feature that can be found is what Mad Catz call “ActionLock” which allows the left and right mouse button to be auto clicked until unlocked.
Sporting Mad Catz “Twin-Eye” laser sensor offering 25 to 6400dpi sensitivity and six meters per second tracking all of which definable into four user settings, the M.M.O.7 really is at the mercy of the users likings.
Fans of World of Warcraft sees their own MMO offered a special plug-in that allows for quick and facilitated access to the button configuration.
While no price has been mentioned, it has been said that you won’t be able to get one for Christmas, as it won’t arrive until January next year.
