MadCatz Cyborg R.A.T.3 Red Gaming Mouse Review

The mouse features a really nice quality scroll wheel, which is clickable and gives great feedback when scrolling, behind that you will find a DPI up/down switch for controlling sensitivity. Next to the left mouse button the R.A.T.3 features a raised panel for easy access to the mode button.
The left side of the mouse features forward and back tab buttons and a good size wing that acts as a thumb rest. While the R.A.T.3 isn’t adjustable like its bigger brothers, it still features the same separate panel design which allows you to see some of the inner workings and wiring of the mouse. Each of the wires is coated in a tough red plastic that looks fantastic and really adds to the overall style of the mouse.
There is another panel on the right side, this one doesn’t feature any buttons but it still looks fantastic and keeps with the overall style of the rest of the mouse.
Around the back we can see further into the chassis of the mouse and more coated cables. The overall ergonomics of the mouse look good too, but it is definitely designed for right handed use, it also features a slight slope downwards from right to left over the top that should make for a comfortable hand position.
On the underside of the mouse we see the base of the scroll wheel, the gap there should help prevent dirt and dust from gathering under the scroll wheel, which is good. We have 5 small Teflon slip pads which should also favor a harder gaming surface and finally we have the 3500 dpi optical sensor.
