The Marriott hotel chain is trialling a new in-room entertainment package in eight of its hotels that includes access to video streaming platforms Netflix and Hulu, plus internet radio service Pandora.

“We have invited leading technology companies and content providers to work with us to design the next wave in in-room entertainment focusing on on-demand programming,” John Wolf, a spokesman for Marriott, told Bloomberg. “We are currently offering guests in eight test hotels the opportunity to stream their content through our high-definition TVs whether it is Netflix, Hulu or Pandora.”

The entertainment channels are available as part of the hotel’s premium WiFi package, but it is not yet known if existing users of Netflix, Hulu, and Pandora would have to pay an extra charge to access the services from their hotel rooms.
