It has been almost a decade since Marvel started phase one of their movie campaign with the launch of the first Iron Man movie starring Robert Downey Jr back in 2008. This led to several launches of solo character movies which then culminated towards the first and second Avengers movie which earned billions worldwide. For the third installment in the Avengers series, officially titled Avengers: Infinity War, MARVEL is going bigger than ever and is now expanding the cross over to include several of their non-Earth based characters in Guardians of the Galaxy and rumoured to also include several “street level” characters introduced in their NetFlix TV series such as Daredevil, Luke Cage and the rest of the yet unofficially formed “Defenders” team.
The latest video from Marvel is not the usual video teaser from Marvel just incorporating some footage from the upcoming movie but it has the cast and the producers taking about the project and providing insight about how the series has been so far and where things are headed. Robert Downey Jr. who plays Ironman standing with Chris Pratt who plays Starlord and the new Spider-man Tom Holland who debuted in Captain America: Civil War talks about the first day of shooting for the film and how exciting it is. Tom Holland especially, considering he was only 12 years old when the first Iron Man movie came out and now he is standing beside Robert Downey Jr. himself and part of the biggest comic book movie franchise in history and due to get his own solo movie soon with the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming later in 2017.
Aside from some of the actors, Directors Anthony and Joe Russo, as well as writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus with Marvel Movie Universe head honcho Kevin Feige talk about where the Avengers: Infinity War movie fits in the Marvel movie timeline and what to expect from the big purple menace Thanos himself.
