Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Patch 6 Released

Insomniac Games has just released the latest in many patches that have come since the game’s rather rocky launch, where the game released on PC in a sorry state, but if you want to hear more about that, you can do here. Today’s Patch Patch 6 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 focuses heavily on technical improvements and bug fixes, particularly addressing issues related to upscaling technologies.
It resolves visual glitches such as distortion with AMD FSR, ghosting and suit invisibility with NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, and white mission trails. Additionally, the patch corrects problems with Intel XeSS causing bright artifacts. Several gameplay-related bugs have also been fixed, including Harry appearing twice during combat, players getting stuck in the “New Threads” mission, and mission progression being blocked by missed calls.
Beyond visual and gameplay fixes, the update enhances stability and addresses various minor issues. Improvements have been made to NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction, focusing on ray-traced ambient occlusion and shadows. Furthermore, the patch ensures ground strikes correctly display shattered ground and prevents a dotted line from appearing during cinematics when upscaling is active. Audio desynchronization during loading cutscenes when changing application focus is also resolved. Overall, Patch 6 aims to provide a smoother and more polished experience for players.
