Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has reached a significant milestone, selling over 11 million units worldwide. This accomplishment underscores the game’s success since its release in October last year.
Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games announced this impressive sales figure, highlighting the game’s strong performance in the market. Initially, Spider-Man 2 sold 2.5 million copies within the first 24 hours, setting a record as the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game at that time. Over the past seven months, the game has continued to sell well, adding approximately 9 million units to its total sales.
Comparatively, the original Marvel’s Spider-Man, released in 2018 for PS4, has sold over 20 million copies. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a smaller sequel, has achieved around 14 million sales.
There are also plans for future content. A recent leak suggested three free DLCs are on the way, though no specific timetable has been provided. This additional content is likely to maintain player interest and drive further sales.
