Marvo Scorpion – Affordable Gaming Just Got Great!

How Much Does it Cost?
These are the most expensive Marvo peripherals I’ve ever had my hands on, but they’re still pretty affordable in the grand scheme of things. The Marvo Scorpion HG9053 7.1 Headset is priced around £40-50. The Marvo ScorpionKG909 Mechanical Keyboard is just £39.26 on Amazon. However, shopping around can pay off, as I’ve seen it for just £27.99 on Box. That means you can get both the keyboard and headset for just £67-ish, and that’s damn cheap!
Overview
There’s a lot of competition on the market for affordable peripherals these days. Every major brand has something reasonably affordable to pick from, but even then they can still be more expensive than these Marvo peripherals. Their main competition then are the waves of cheap import junk on Amazon and eBay. In fairness, Marvo may seem much the same, but their name has a lot more pedigree, and they’re very well established in many UK retail stores both large and small. Plus, we’ve reviewed a bunch of their stuff, and it’s all holding up great!
Performance
The mechanical keyboard is really fantastic, with nice clicky blue switches, N-key rollover, a metal top plate, and some funky lighting. It’s great for working on, I mean, I’m writing this review on it and I’ve nothing to complain about. As for gaming, it’s light, fast and responsive, just as you would expect from a mechanical keyboard.
The gaming headset really surprised me though, from the moment I powered it up, it really impressed me with its big sound. There’s plenty of bass when you need it, loads of detail in the mids and crystal clear highs. The built-in controller is a very welcome addition too, allowing for quick changes to the EQ and a handy microphone mute button.
Should I Buy One?
There’s no shortage of amazing keyboard and headsets on the market today. However, things get really tricky when you try to do things on a tighter budget. Marvo may have stripped back a few features here and there to keep the price down, but they’ve not compromised the performance. A fully mechanical keyboard and a banging headset at prices you simply cannot argue with. Fantastic stuff!
