How Much Does it Cost?

Amazingly, you can get the entire Marvo Scorpion CM420-UK Mechanical Keyboard Mouse and Gaming Surface 3-in-1 RGB Gaming Kit on Amazon for just £44.75. However, Marvo mostly dominates your smaller PC retailers and brick and mortar stores. If you look around on Google you can see it under £40 at a few stores, so it’s best to shop around! Of course, Amazon will get you it the next day on Prime, but either way, it’s a great deal.

Overview

Marvo has long proven to be the master of affordable peripherals. We’ve played around with some Marvo keyboards and mice that cost LESS THAN £10 each, and they were pretty good. Not great, but you know, decent for the price, and that’s fair enough. Then even their more premium options are still sitting in the £20-50 area, offering the kind of features we’ve seen on £100+ models, and they were pretty fantastic. Take the recent Marvo Pro KG965G Gaming Keyboard, or the Marvo Scorpion PRO Gaming HG9053 Headset for example.

This new bundle is somewhat in the middle. It’s clearly not made up of their most affordable products, but collectively the price is still lower than their more expensive models. Frankly, I’m not seeing how the hell they’re making any money at all on this bundle. The keyboard may look a little bit last week, but the performance is as good as it needs to be for the modern-day gamers out there. You still get full N-key and anti-ghosting, a fully mechanical design and a few other bonus features built-in. Not forgetting the metal top panel construction and slim design, making it a serious contender.

The same is true of the mouse. The design and technology it uses are a bit old-school, but it doesn’t feel like that’s holding up the performance at all. The sensor isn’t going to be rolled out for an eSports tournament, but I’ve been playing Quake 3 Arena, Elder Scrolls Online and, admittedly Peggle 2 (again) with it this week, and I can’t say I’ve had any trouble with it, because I haven’t. The 7 button design is a bit of a stretch though, it’s really 5 buttons, as the top two are DPI and RGB, but it gets the job done.

The inclusion of the mouse mat is nice too, it’s got a good quality feel to it, and the vibrant red really makes it pop. Really, all this hardware together looks like a decent set, and it all jams along nicely. It may be cheap, but it’s nothing to scoff at.

Should I Buy One?

If you’re looking for truly bonkers value for money, then Marvo has got you covered. Sure, you can drop big bucks on something better, but do you really need to? For a bit of work and gaming, you’re getting a durable mechanical gaming keyboard, a nice performing mouse and a mouse mat for around the same price as a takeaway and a crate of beer. Really, this is a bundle that’s going to be hard to beat.
