What still shocks me is the price. This mouse and mat are just £14, cheaper in some places even… It doesn’t feel that cheap, they feel pretty great. The mouse is comfortable in the hand, it’s snappy and responsive, and the sensor is pretty sturdy too.
OK it’s not as refined looking as more expensive products but everything is where you would expect it to be. The programmable buttons are awesome, and there’s enough room to throw a few extra shortcuts and macros in there.
The ergonomics are very comfortable, and the huge wing gives it a very natural feel in your hand. Plus, it gives just enough grip to use a lift-off technique at lower DPI, which is great.
The RGB isn’t exactly advanced, it’ll fade through seven colours and it only lights up the rear logo. However, I’m perfectly happy with that, it’s subtle and looks good.
I do prefer a larger gaming mat though, so it’s time to grab the XL. The edge stitching is really great quality too. Yeah, it really is THAT vibrant too.
Wow, that’s a statement you can’t ignore.
Plus the lovely mouse now has a lot more room to run wild and free.
There’s a really grippy rubber base on it too, so there’s no way it’ll slide around.
Need more RGB? Then fear not, as we have that option too. Albeit, this one also comes with a little USB cable to provide power to the LEDs.
The LED strip runs around the full edge of the mat, and it is woven in to the mat.
Simply roll it out and you get those lovely mouse mat. I must admit, that scorpion logo looks 100% badass.
There’s a small RGB controller here, no software needed, just power from the USB cable. Hold to turn it on or off, tap it to change the colour and effects. It’s that simple.
Enjoy the lightshow!
