Marvo Scorpion M355+G1 Gaming Combo Review

How Much Does it Cost?

As with everything from Marvo, the prices are extremely competitive. What’s more, you often find Marvo is even cheaper at your local computer store as they work with a lot of smaller retailers. However, Amazon, Laptops Direct, CCL, BOX, and a whole bunch of others usually have stock too.

  • Marvo Scorpion M355+G1 Gaming Combo – £13.95
  • Marvo G41 XL Gaming Mouse Pad – £8-10
  • Marvo MG010 XL RGB Mouse Pad – £24.99

Overview

Honestly, I’m amazed by what Marvo has to offer once again. I still love their CM375 4-in-1 starter kit, that’s crazy cheap for a starter PC setup. Plus, I loved their budget mechanical keyboard too, and now I can add their new gaming mouse to the list. It’s affordable, stylish, and packed full of features, so you can’t really go wrong!

Build Quality

It’s not the best, I’ll admit, but it’s not exactly ready to fall apart in your hands either. I’m pretty spoilt here at eTeknix, I get the best of the best on a weekly basis. So is it as well made as your typical £80 Corsair gaming mouse? No. Is it badly made? Also no. It just looks and feels a bit last week really, and that’s no big surprise, as Marvo repurpose old models and production lines to keep the price down. Of course, they modernise the hardware too, giving us something very competitive.

Performance

The mouse is a solid all-round gaming and work mouse. It’s not eSports ready, but for me playing Elder Scrolls Online and FTL at home, it’s been absolutely fine, no issues at all. Working in Photoshop, it felt perfectly competent there too. The DPI adjustments work well and offer plenty of range. Plus, the BOSS switch and the thumb switch are great for giving you even more control while gaming and editing.

Should I Buy One?

At £14, you can’t go wrong. As a gift, a mouse for the kids, a mouse for yourself, it’s all good. Plus, the other two mouse mats I tinkered with are great too, albeit, it’s pretty hard to get a mouse mat wrong. Highly recommended.

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
