The Xbox 360 version of Mass Effect 3 was the top-selling game in the US and the UK during the first three months of the year.
In the US, BioWare’s title charted ahead of Just Dance 3 for Wii, Modern Warfare 3 for 360, NBA 2K12 for 360 and Modern Warfare 3 for PS3.
In the UK, FIFA 12 for 360 took second place, ahead of Just Dance 3 for Wii, FIFA Street for 360 and Battlefield 3 for 360.
One Piece Pirate Warriors for PS3 was the top-selling title in Japan during the first 16 weeks of 2012, according to retail monitor Media Create. Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Monster Hunter 3 and Dai-2-Ji Super Robot Taisen Z saisei-Hen (don’t ask us) rounded off the top five.

Nintendo also told investors that that PS3 is the top-selling console in Europe so far this year, while Xbox 360 is No.1 in the US and 3DS is the frontrunner in Japan.
