A plucky modder has taken the adventures of Colonel Sheppard to new highs, OK maybe no so much, but they have ramped up the games resolution to 8K. This means that the game is running at an eye watering 7680 x 4320, churning through 16 times as many pixels compared to 1920 x 1080!
Not only would this cripple most gaming PC’s, it’s a high enough resolution to cripple many of the fastest gaming rigs on the market today, and you’ll be wanting multiple high-performance GPU’s that can provide 8-12GB of VRAM just to get things to render properly.
Of course it is difficult to do, but it is no impossible and the people behind this feat of GPU punishment have been kind enough to snap a big gallery of gorgeous screenshots for you to pour over, which would be even more enjoyable if you have a UHD display. Check out the full gallery right here.
