EA has revealed a new Mass Effect game, titled Mass Effect: Infiltrator for iOS devices.
According to the publisher, Infiltrator is a “fully featured iOS third-person shooter”, with “stunning graphics and authentic weapons and powers from the Mass Effect series.”According to Kotaku, which attended the press event in New York, the game’s plot will involve helping to free prisoners from a hostile Cerberus base, with the players’ achievements crossing over as rewards in Mass Effect 3.
“Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player’s Galactic Readiness rating directly through the ‘Galaxy at War’ system in Mass Effect 3,” said EA.
The publisher also announced the Mass Effect ‘Datapad’ app for iOS, which apparently lets you “stay in touch with all of the info in Mass Effect 3,” as well as get messages from in-game characters and check the status of the war.
There was no mention of release date, nor for an Android version of either apps.
