Mass Effect Remaster Will Work With Old (And New) Mods!
Peter Donnell / 4 years ago
The hype for the new Mass Effect Remasters is getting into full swing, and honestly, I think I’m getting plenty swept up in it myself. One of the coolest things about PC gaming is the ability to mod the games. There’s no shortage of mods for the old versions of these games; check out the Nexus Mods page! From UI enhancements, texture packs, re-skins, and gameplay adjustments, PC modders love to tinker!
Fortunately, it looks like BIOWARE are paying close attention to this. They’ve said that they’ve been in touch with a few members of the modding community .”We’ve have been in touch with a few in the modding community to learn how best to a) update everyone on changes that will impact existing mods, and b) set the modding community up for success going forward. It’s ongoing, and we’ll discuss in more detail by launch.” – Twitter
Mass Effect Remaster
That’s very positive and not something we see happening a lot these days. While I doubt all previous mods are needed, given the fact that the base game is getting such a significant update. Plus, there’s a new unified UI for all three games, and even native PC controller support too.
We already know we’re getting ultrawide support, high-resolution support, and so much more, so the modding community will have to step up to push the limits. However, it sounds like Bioware aren’t going to hinder their abilities to do so, and that’s awesome.
