Sick of jaggies when console gaming? Well, despair no longer. A new HDMI cable with onboard processing is here to save you. Ordinarily, we’d scoff at playing for a premium HDMI cable, but mCable is different. Developed by Marseille, the mCable contains a chip capable of applying anti-aliasing. Based on sample images, mCable can smooth out those jagged edges, up to 1080p@120fps.
mCable Key Features
- Contextual anti-aliasing: removes jaggies without noticeable blur.
- Adaptive resolution scaling: scales native rendered resolution to match display.
- High frame rate support: support frame rates up to 1080p120.
- Sub-1ms lag: game at your dreamed speed.

Marseille Says
“Gaming consoles have a problem: they can’t draw very well. Even if they’re high powered, they still miss a lot of key details because all processors are physically limited, leading to insufficient sampling resolution and framerate, which leads to common ‘artifacts’ such as jagged edges and shimmering textures.
For a long time now, we’ve been wondering why nobody has bothered to address the issue, so we decided to address it ourselves via the mCable, adapting it to the specific graphical needs of gaming consoles.”
Pricing and Availability
In addition to the gaming cable, Marseille offers a cinema version, which helps upscale 720p and 1080p content to 4K. Both the Cinema and Gaming models are available now. The 3m model costs $119. Each cable is also available in 6m and 9m lengths, with a $129 and $139 price tag respectively.
