Day 1 Studios, the developer behind fondly-remembered Xbox robo-battler MechAssault, has teased a new title for 2012, likely in the same genre in which it made its name.
A brief trailer posted today on its official site shows what appears to be a brand new mech-themed title, with the accompanying text, “In 2012, Day 1 Studios returns to its roots.”
MechAssault, which scored a hearty 9/10 from Eurogamer back in 2002, was the US developer’s first title. It followed it up with a sequel in 2004, before moving on to the F.E.A.R. franchise in 2007.
