Megaupload founder and owner Kim Dotcom is making some bold moves with regards to his precarious legal future. He has stated he will voluntarily travel to the USA to face piracy charges providing the Justice Department unfreezes his assets to allow him to cover the costs of travelling there and getting legal representation to fight his case.
Kim Dotcom gave his proposal over Twitter, hardly the most appropriate place to do it but at least he’s getting the word out there. This statement comes just a day after a New Zealand court ruled that his extradition is to be postponed due to the fact the raid on his mansion was conducted illegally and without sufficient efficient evidence or procedural compliance.
The evidence against Kim Dotcom is therefore illegally collected and his case for extradition has been put back all the way to 2013. Surely Kim Dotcom knows he has a strong legal position and just wants to get this ordeal over and done with as soon as possible before he loses any more money by having all his assets and his business frozen by the unlawful actions of the American government.
Kim Dotcom has also reason to suspect that U.S. Vice President, Joe Biden was the man responsible for closing down of Megaupload. Kim Dotcom told TorrentFreak that:
I do know from a credible source that it was Joe Biden, the best friend of former Senator and MPAA boss Chris Dodd, who ordered his former lawyer and now state attorney Neil MacBride to take Mega down.
