Love it or hate it, the idea of this Metal Gear Solid spin-off is happening. That being said, I didn’t want, need or ask for this game, but looking at these screenshots… colour me interested.

Tactical Zombie Action?

Konami released these new images of Metal Gear Survive. The game features a unique co-op experience, at least for this series. However, it still blends in the typical tactical stealth action elements the series is well known for. What’s interesting to me is how much these images remind me of Resident Evil 5. Sure RE5 got some bad press, but in co-op, it was a freaking blast. I’m hoping the same is now true of Metal Gear Survive.

Wormholes and Alternate Timelines?

The game comes with a story set after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Now, bare with me here, because it’s a little more complicated than that. The game is set after those events but on an alternate timeline. The cause? Unexplained wormholes in the sky… obviously. A script mashup from Sliders and The Walking Dead, sure, why not.
