Metro Exodus, Sequel to Last Light Revealed at E3 with Trailer

The sequel to Metro Last Light, Metro Exodus was shown during the E3 2017 Microsoft press briefing. Although Microsoft showed over a dozen trailers during the event, 4A’s Metro Exodus stood out quite easily. If this is not proof that post-apocalyptic games are far from passe then I don’t know what is. The trailer was not just cinematic fluff, but in fact showed several minutes of in-game footage familiar to Metro fans.
Despite the bleak setting, Metro Exodus showed incredible detail that offered a haunting story with every frame. It did not fail to give a scare as well once the giant mutated rat came out, even more so when the giant mutated bear came hunting.
The previous Metro titles were incredibly taxing even for higher-end PCs so it is surprising to see the game chugging along fine at 4K on the new Xbox One X. The actual game will not be released until 2018 for both consoles and the PC, so there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. What was shown at E3 however, is enough to keep fans salivating until that time comes. Maybe a reinstall of the previous games would suffice for now.
