Micron Announces 9200 Series NVMe SSD Up to 11TB

Micron is announcing the launch of their latest flagship 9200 series of SSDs. It is available in capacities ranging from 1.6 to 11 Terabytes in various form-factors. This includes half height, half length (HHHL) and U.2. This allows for effective integration into any system. The 9200 series uses the fastest NVMe SSD interface. Resulting in transfer speeds of up to 5.5GB/s and read IOPS up to 900k.
Micron 9200 Series SSD Key Specifications
The 9200 series family is available in three categories by endurance class: ECO, PRO and MAX.
As the name suggests, the Micron 9200 MAX is for write-intensive use. It has an endurance TBW rating of 8.8 to 35.1 PB. In comparison, the 9200 ECO is for read intensive applications. It has a TBW rating of 11.7 to 16.1 PB. The PRO version is the sweet spot between the two. Which is more for mix-use applications. The reliability rating (MTTF) is up to 2 million device hours.
The ECO series is available in 8 and 11 TB capacities. Meanwhile the PRO is available in 1.92, 3.84 and 7.68 TB capacities. The MAX version is available in 1.6TB, 3.2TB, and 6.4TB. However, the 9200 series comes with Micron’s Flex Capacity feature. This means the drive capacities are tunable to deliver workload optimized performance. All the drives also feature end-to-end enterprise data path protection, power loss protection, and more.
